Roberto Tarter and Rodolfo Viola are MORGHEN Studio, a multidisciplinary duo that works on the boundaries between design, art and craftsmanship. Their work has its origin in a deep technical and formal research and relies on techniques passed on by the artisan heritage mixed with experimentation and contemporary materials.

Their design process always originates from the dichotomy between the use of innovative technologies and abpowerful formal language. Through a subtle and continuous confrontation with the space and the user, Morghen pieces encourage each time a dialogue, expressing their distinctive energy and soul.

Every single piece is conceived, developed and hand crafted in a renovated carpenter’s workshop located in the Milanese Bovisa district. Every single piece evolves from and assimilates previous theoretical and practical research. Every single piece is unique. Their work encompasses objects, furniture, lighting and spaces.

MORGHEN develops bespoke projects both based on the standard collection and on client's suggestions. Through the means of prototypes, mock-ups, drawings and visualizations the studio supports and enriches the creation process in order to meet the particular needs and desires of each client. The studio elds of activity encompass both objects and environments.
